This is a unique trade show open only  for watch industry professionals and press, unlike BaselWorld. Therefore we try to give you a visitors’ impression via this blog post, pictures and our AceJewelers.TV Channel.

Last Friday we  posted a blog  about the novelties presented by IWC. We can now confirm that they are even more amazing in real life! We fell in love with all of them, and especially with the all new and sporty Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph, with the manufacture chrono! Great case, comfortable strap and wonderful fit on the wrist. This is THE long- awaited waterproof Portuguese Chrono! But –  it does not stop here, –  the Portuguese Grande Complication is exactly what it needed!!! The movement has been around since approx. 1985 and is now presented as a stand- alone collection “Grande Complication,” with the chunky case with sharp edges. Now in a larger Portuguese case with  elegant and smooth lines. What a super watch! Compliments to IWC. Thank you! We are in love….

Talking about being in love, the Portuguese Tourbillon Mystere was already an AMAZING timepiece, but now with the subtle and fun complication of a retrograde function, it has ascended  to the next level. IWC is a master in the ‘less is more’ design game, but adding the Retrograde feature has  not cluttered  the dial, but actually adds to the design. Again, compliments to IWC.

In the past, blue dials  have always  been reserved for platinum and/or limited editions of IWC. Today, however, IWC launched a white- gold Portuguese Perpetual Calendar with a mesmerizing midnight- blue dial. Great addition to the range of the award-winning model. It is the first white- gold model of the ‘double-moon’ version of the Perpetual Calendar. In the past there was a limited- edition platinum version and a yellow- gold version. Last year there was only a pink- gold version with black dial, and they gave him a brother in white- gold with blue dial.

The Portuguese Hand- Wound is a new line, is actually the same version as the Portuguese Vintage, but with a more modern dial. Talking about the Vintage Collection, this is a collection that will stay available for 2010. And, we have some great news, that has NOT been presented on the IWC website –  they have made two smaller steel versions in a limited edition series of 500 pieces.

Another watch that has not been displayed on the IWC website yet, is a unique fusion watch: IWC Da Vinci Chronograph Ceramic (reference IW376601). The case of the new Da Vinci  is composed of three parts and is therefore excellent for  mixing  materials. The new Da Vinci Chrono is made of ceramic and titanium. The dial looks even more impressive, see for yourself here below:

We had a blast at the IWC stand during SIHH, and hope that our enthusiasm has come across! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional queries.
