Team Ace SIHH 2011 Trade Show Review: Baume & Mercier Watches

Yesterday we visited the legendary SIHH Watch Fair in Geneva and also visited the elegant brand Baume & Mercier. 2011 is an important year for Baume & Mercier as they are starting a new chapter in their long history. With this new chapter, comes a new slogan: “Life is about moments”. We could not agree more!

Yesterday we have seen the all new Capeland watch collection for men and the all new Linea watch collection for ladies. Both very refreshing, modern and elegant. Real Baume & Mercier! On Monday they also launched a new website, which we really like and we are currently redesigning the Baume & Mercier eCorner on our website to the new house style of Baume & Mercier.

Capeland Flyback Chrono 10006

The renewed Capeland collection consists of 8 male watches with two different movements. The talking piece is a flyback chronograph Automatic manufacture movement (La Joux-Perret 8147-2 movement) in a 44mm round case, either in red gold or stainless steel. On top of that Baume & Mercier launched a automatic chronograph in a stainless steel 42mm case with six different dials. All these watches come with a leather strap and are 5 bar waterproof. We ordered all of them. We love them. Real timeless chronographs.

Baume & Mercier Capeland Chronographs

The renewed Linea collection breathes the same spirit are the previous collection, but has been upgraded to modern design and demands. The case size has grown and a chronograph is now available. Really what the modern elegant lady is looking for. And, combinations of stainless steel with red gold are now also available. The quartz chronograph watches come in a 32mm case and stainless steel straps. The classic Linea models are 27mm wide and all come standard with a stainless steel strap and an additional leather strap in the box. The unique system of the strap, makes it very easy for a lady to change her strap by herself without damaging her nails! All models are available with accents of real diamonds and are all 5 bar waterproof.
